WHAT IS REAL TALK AND HOW IS IT DIFFERENT?
Real Talk explores multiple modalities by combining digital scenes and theatrical sketches. The episodic nature of the show creates continued interest from audiences to come back and see what is new. Real Talk creates an intimate setting that encourages viewers to be present in the moment, and grow together as an audience. Physical art/media is also a special part of this show. We always want the audience to walk away from the experience with a part of the show with them! The themes focus on fitting in, connection, embarrassment, and the blurred line between performance and sincerity. It places an emphasis on merging human truths and lies that drive relationships apart and back together again. Real Talk always comes from a place of deep passion and pursues the need to get one’s struggles out through art.
REAL TALK with rocco meo: PURPOSE
A troubled young man, Rocco Meo, becomes obsessed with raising a baby surfing legend to deal with his lack of purpose, roping in his friend, Li Angarola, on a mayonnaise quest of artistry. When Rocco begins to spiral, he has to confront his lies and what it means to grow older.

After being dogged on by his friend, Li Angarola, a young comedian, Rocco Meo, looks to find something he can fall back on in case of his imminent demise in comedy. Will he be able to pick up a new skill or lose all social awareness in the process?
